Finished!!

It was a busy weekend, but I made sure I took the time to add the final border to my Civil War Bride Quilt.  Voila!!  Of course, I am very excited to have finished this rather ambitious quilt.  Also, a little sad to see the entire process come to an end.  Looking back on my blog posts, I see I started stitching this quilt on July 1, 2012, and finished stitching it on Nov. 11, 2013.  Time really does fly!!

  1. Absolutely Beautiful !!! Love how you arranged the blocks different from the original. Looking forward to seeing how you quilt this one.

  2. It’s beautiful! Congratulations! It is lovely to rejoice with another on the completion of a distinguished project. I have just begun and have already lost a lovely Dutch chintz I bought in Houston at the show. It was just big enough for the dress. I think I must have left it on my bed with the covers. I hope this does not portend the process. Since I am in the final stages of Pandamonium by Kim McLean I am anxuois
To have my next quilt waiting in the wings. I think cicil war bride will be relaxing compared to Pandamonium. I donT know if you know Pandamonium but it is daunting. At any rate, congratulations again,
    I have enjoyed your progress.

  3. Civil War Bride was the most enjoyable quilt I ever made. Yours is beautiful, the blues just pop and the tablecloth fabric in the center is just great.

  4. I just popped over from the CWB blog…your colors are so beautiful and your top is stunning! Every time I see one of these tops finished, I want to make ANOTHER ONE! (Aren’t I nuts?) I had so much fun making mine and I have SO enjoyed watching everyone else take the journey. Teresa :o)
